It’s not everyday that the ATO offers shortcuts, but with many people working from home, that’s just what they’ve done. Here’s the latest update on the ATO website about this Shortcut Method:
This method is temporary, you can only use it to work out your deduction for work from home expenses:
- between 1 March to 30 June 2020 in the 2019–20 income year
- for the 2020–21 and 2021–22 income years.
